    Opening Luncheon at Meadowbrook Country Club

    Angela Wyrembelski, Sr. Associate at Quinn Evans’ Detroit office & project preservation architect of the renovation of historic Michigan Central, will share the six-year process to restore Detroit’s iconic train station by Ford Motor Company.

    In 2024, Dr. James Fortune, M.D., a board-certified family physician, spoke to us about Living a Healthy Lifestyle. It’s now time for an update on pursuing healthy habits through diet & exercise. Assisted by Barbara Fortune, R.N., this should be a lively presentation!

    Co-Chairs Rick Sharpe & City Council member John Carter will discuss the preparations for the celebration of Northville’s Bicentennial in 2027.

    Wendy Zielen will share the history of the W.A.S.Ps, the first women pilots to ferry aircraft for the U.S. military during WW II. She’ll share their history & contributions to the war effort & their impact on future generations of women who “dared to soar to new heights.”

    Suha Costy, a founding member of Northville’s 100 Women Who Care, will explain how the organization works & highlight some of the charities & the women supported by the organization.

    Cathy Gurnee will explain how her company “Healing Touch” uses touch to influence the energy system, affecting emotional, physical & spiritual health, to help a person heal.

    Austin Eighmey, Fair Lane Director of Historic Resources, will share the years-long restoration of the iconic estate & its grounds by a conservation team of artisans & crafts people.

    Rebecca Binno Savage, Co-Author of Art Deco in Detroit, will take us on tour of this influential movement & the grandeur of some of the major buildings in Detroit that showcase this style & craftsmanship.

    We’ll close out our club year with a luncheon & docent-led program on the history of Greenmead Historical Park & its buildings.
